About us

We are Sasha and Kate, a photography duo based in Courtenay, Vancouver Island.

We both grew up in Ukraine and have now spent three Christmases on Vancouver Island, a place that has truly become our home. We have known each other since school, sitting at the same desk long before photography became our shared craft. That early connection is still part of how we work today: with natural rhythm, trust and a shared vision on every session.

Working as a duo allows us to see your story from two perspectives. One of us can focus on the main frame, light and atmosphere, while the other catches reactions, movement, emotions and small details that could easily be missed.

Our approach

We create cinematic, emotional photo stories for couples, families, weddings and creative people who want more than just clean pictures.

You do not need to know how to pose

We help with direction, movement and mood, but our main focus is real emotion: the laugh, the pause, the look, the small moment that feels alive and cannot be staged.

Photography is our shared art, but people are always the center of it.
